1 Year of Maker: Mindful Moments & Growing Community

One year ago, Maker Matcha soft-launched at an event, and quickly signed up for our very first formal booth at the Tea & Co. Expo at Waterworks (serving our iced wild blueberry matcha latte for the first time).

Since then, we’ve shared matcha at markets, workshops, cafés, offices, festivals, parks, and community spaces across Toronto.

We’ve met students discovering matcha for the first time. Creatives, runners, designers, DJs, tech teams, café regulars, and people simply looking for fuel and a calm moment in a busy week.

Our intention was never product, but something more meaningful:
A ritual. A community. A reason to gather.

Over the last year, we’ve had the opportunity to collaborate with incredible spaces and communities including Waterworks Food Hall, FEASTIE TO, The Welcome Market, OFFLINE Market, Sala Sessions, Cafe Zuzu, Simpl Cafe, LAUFT, and many more.

We’ve hosted workshops at cafés, schools, and workplaces.
We’ve served matcha at events across the city.
We’ve grown organically through word of mouth, community support, and people sharing what we’re building (thank you).
